Please read these Terms of Service carefully before using this website or booking an appointment. By using this website or engaging our services, you agree to be bound by these terms.
1. About This Service
Worry Free Will & Notary provides notary public services in Nova Scotia, including the supervision of execution of Legal Wills, Enduring Powers of Attorney, and Personal Directives, as well as general notary services such as certifying true copies, notarizing documents, and acting as local agent in real estate closings.
The operator of this service is a Notary Public appointed under the laws of Nova Scotia.
2. No Legal Advice
This service does not include legal advice. A Notary Public is not acting as your lawyer and no solicitor-client relationship is created by using this website or engaging our services.
The information provided on this website is for general informational purposes only. It is not legal advice and should not be relied upon as such. Laws change, and the information on this website may not reflect the most current legal developments.
If you are uncertain about your legal rights or responsibilities — for example, regarding the tax consequences of a bequest, the structure of a trust, or a contested estate — you should retain a practicing lawyer who can provide advice tailored to your circumstances.
3. Scope of Services
The services provided by Worry Free Will & Notary are limited to those described on this website and agreed upon at the time of booking. Specifically:
- We supervise the execution of documents you have reviewed and approved.
- We provide qualified witnesses as required by law.
- We notarize affidavits of execution and other documents within our authority as a Notary Public.
- We do not provide legal advice, draft complex estate plans, or represent clients in legal proceedings.
4. Client Responsibility
You are responsible for reviewing your documents carefully before signing them. You should be satisfied that the documents accurately reflect your wishes before execution. Once signed and witnessed, documents are legally binding.
You are responsible for providing accurate and complete information when completing our pre-appointment questionnaire and at your appointment.
5. Fees and Payment
Our fees are as posted on the Pricing page. All fees are fixed and are payable at your appointment by debit or credit card. There are no hidden costs.
A missed appointment fee of $39 applies if you miss an appointment without cancelling at least one hour in advance. A $150 missed appointment fee applies to Will appointments.
6. Appointments
Appointments are booked through our online booking system. By booking an appointment, you confirm that you have read and understood the service description and fee structure.
We reserve the right to decline to provide services at our discretion, including where we reasonably believe there are concerns about a client's capacity, undue influence, or the legality of the requested document.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Worry Free Will & Notary shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of this website or our services. Our total liability in connection with any service shall not exceed the fees paid for that service.
We make no warranties, express or implied, regarding the accuracy or completeness of the information on this website.
10. Governing Law
These Terms of Service are governed by the laws of the Province of Nova Scotia and the laws of Canada applicable therein. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Nova Scotia.
